After this session next year’s team will be announced. This has been the most competitive tryout season ever and some quite strong tryout players have already been turned down. Good luck to everyone!

The Real Force will be expanding its roster by 2-4 players for the coming year. Tryouts for next year’s team will be held as follows:
1. Tuesday, June 5th, from 6:30-8:00 at Lake Fairfax #1;
2. Friday, June 8th, from 6:30-8:00 at Lake Newport;
3. Saturday, June 9th, from 10:30-12:00 at Lake Newport;
4. Tuesday, June 12th, from 6:30-8:00 at Lake Fairfax #1;
5. Saturday, June 16th, from 10:30-noon at Arrowbrook Park.

Rising U16 girls who are strong soccer players, interested in a competitive yet fun team, are encouraged to attend. The Real Force is professionally coached year round by Ged Wood and Hai Nguyen (Fairfax HS and Potomac School). We encourage participation in high school sports. If you are an excellent soccer player who wants to be part of a team rising through the WAGS ranks, please consider the Real Force. Tryout players are encouraged to attend as many sessions as possible in order for the coaches to properly assess their skill levels. Offers to play on next year’s team will go out as soon as possible after the final tryout.

10 goals for and only 1 goal against led to the Championship over Memorial Day weekend. The team persevered despite hot and humid conditions. Goalkeepers Sam and Brittony earned 3 clean sheets between them. The defense played great, midfield possessed the ball, and attackers did not let up all weekend. A nice win for the team!

Try-outs for the 2012-13 season will be held in early June. Dates and times are still under development. You will be contacted with try-out information as it becomes available.
